Istanbul’s tram, which comprises the T1 line through significant locations, including Sultanahmet and Beyazit, links Kabatas to Bagcilar. For both residents and visitors, it is a crucial route. The T2, T3, T4, and T5 lines are an essential part of the city’s public transportation system.

For access to the tram system, passengers will need an Istanbulkart. Or you could simply obtain a limited-use card that anyone may purchase and have a certain number of passes allowed. They are available through ticket machines and the many Istanbulkart representatives stationed across the city.

If you own an Istanbulkart, the fare for a one-way trip is ₺15, allowing travelers to make up to five discounted transfers within a two-hour timeframe.

Foreign nationals with residence permits are able to personalize their anonymous transit cards and purchase a monthly pass. They may also generate a digital card using the Istanbulkart app. Using a QR code, exactly like the locals, this digital card makes it possible to pass the turnstiles.
